This project is a series of extended portraits of each of the three individuals photographed. The photographs are meant to portray a certain aspect of the person’s personality or something that they are passionate about doing through both portraits as well as details pertaining to that activity that they love doing so much. While photographing each individual, I was given the opportunity to experience why they love doing what they do. While photographing Nick, he caught the biggest fish that he ever caught at that location. While photographing Sam, I got to experience the excitement of the trial and error behind trying a new special effects makeup technique. Photographing MaryAnn, I experienced the feeling accomplishment that comes after a hard day of physical labor. These color photographs help create those experiences of being with each individual while doing what they love, which can be important when someone is trying to get to know another individual.
